Primary School English
Our journey begins with the Primary 3 English program, where we utilize a variety of topical passages to engage your child and nurture their interest in real-world topics. Through interactive lessons and activities, they will explore different question types and learn effective exam techniques for accurate responses. They will also learn intermediate grammar rules, focusing on tenses, subject-verb agreement and synthesis and transformation. This, paired with thematic vocabulary, will create a robust language foundation. In Primary 4, we shift our focus to developing critical thinking and reflective learning skills, enhancing your child's language proficiency and self-awareness. In addition, we will not only expand their thematic vocabulary but also dive into intermediate and advanced grammar rules, including relative pronouns, question tags, and phrasal verbs, to enhance their language skills. As they progress to Primary 5, your child will refine their communication skills and exam strategies to tackle more challenging content. Besides building thematic vocabulary, students will explore advanced grammar rules, such as sensorial verbs and converting sentences from direct to reported speech and vice versa, to strengthen their language foundation. Finally, our Primary 6 English program emphasizes essential skills such as comprehension, composition, grammar, and situational writing, preparing your child with the necessary tools to excel in the PSLE. Through tailored workshops and activity booklets, students will develop their thematic vocabulary and learn advanced grammar rules, including the rule of proximity, reported speech, and conditionals, to sharpen their language abilities.
